Ever Active Schools Research
The EAS framework for health promoting schools includes evidence. Without knowing where we are, it is very hard to figure out where to go! EAS is currently working in a number of areas around research and evaluation such as:
- The Battle River Project: Building Healthy Active School Communities – this is a joint project implementing the health promoting schools approach with school district support funded by the ASRPWF and the AHSCWF and involving the Battle River School District, East Central Health (Alberta Health Services), and Ever Active Schools. Click on the tab to the left to find out more!
- The Health Assessment Tool for Schools (HATS) – all member schools are required to complete the HATS on an annual basis and use the results to submit an Action Plan for the upcoming year. An annual report will be shared based on the information collected.
- Current Evaluations, Reports and Papers are available by clicking the appropriate buttons to the left.

If you are a masters or PhD student seeking a thesis topic inclusive of health promoting schools, EAS is always open to project and research ideas that benefit school communities in Alberta. We have a wealth of data on the health behaviours of children and youth just waiting for your analysis!
