Too many children are moving less, feeling less connected, and missing opportunities to thrive.
Financial barriers, inequitable access, and declining opportunities for play have created growing gaps in physical activity and belonging—particularly in rural and equity-deserving communities. Everybody Plays exists to remove those barriers and create more inclusive opportunities for every child to be active, connected, and empowered.
Everybody Plays Changes That
Everybody Plays gives children and youth more chances to move, play, and belong—at school and in their communities across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and the Yukon. Since 2017, the program has focused on removing barriers for equity-deserving populations and building local capacity so every child can experience the benefits of play.

Through a flexible, multi-layered approach, we reduce barriers to participation while building the confidence and capacity of the people who support children every day. From inclusive school and community activations to no-barrier sport opportunities, educator support, and youth leadership, the program creates welcoming environments where children can be active, feel they belong, and discover their potential. By investing in long-term partnerships rather than just one-time events, Everybody Plays helps schools and communities build lasting cultures of play that continue well beyond our involvement.

In 2025–26, Everybody Plays reached 16,195 children and youth across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and the Yukon.
Through 290 hands-on sessions, 12,194 participants experienced 24,085 minutes of movement, sport, and play—with 14,287 minutes (nearly 60%) spent in moderate-to-vigorous physical activity, giving children meaningful opportunities to build healthy habits while having fun. Additionally, other children and youth were supported through school wide capacity building efforts!
Everybody Plays focuses on supporting children and youth from low-income (and other equity-deserving) families across Alberta, Saskatchewan and the Yukon.
